Which Hospitals Currently Have the Highest Number of Vehicle Crimes?
Out of the 16 hospitals LeaseCar UK analysed, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham had the highest number of vehicle crimes during 2020, with 160 incidents reported. It may come as no surprise that hospitals in London and the surrounding area were frequently mentioned in the data. In second place on the data table was the surrounding area of the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, which had 150 incidents during last year.
After analysing the data, LeaseCar UK were able to announce that not all surroundings areas of hospitals have high rates of car crime. The safest area in the country was revealed to be St Bartholomew’s Hospital in the City of London, with only 2 cases reported during 2020.

We all want to be able to leave our cars unattended and not have to worry about it being damaged or stolen, and there are ways in which we can prevent this. To begin with, make sure that when you’re leaving your car it’s locked and all of the windows are fully closed, even if you’re only leaving it unattended for a few minutes.
Vehicles are often broken into because thieves can see valuable items left inside, so make sure you remove anything in sight. For example, if you have been using a satnav, then make sure you take it with you or hide it in your glove box, so no one passing your car can see it.
